Remember the first time you opened your heart to that special someone?

How wonderful it felt to be loved and IN love?

‘They’ could do no wrong. To you, they were that PERFECT person you’d been looking for.

You beamed as you entered a room…and the world was your oyster.

Feels good, right? Sure it does.

Oh, and what about THIS…

Remember the day the honeymoon ended?

When you realized they were NOT so perfect? In fact they had a whole damn LOT of things wrong with them. How could you have been so blind? So naïve …so foolish?

You went your separate ways, though your mind and heart wished you could transport back to that blissful and orgasmic honeymoon.

Not gonna happen! This party is O-V-E-R!

And you feel the pain, longing and loneliness. That warm, fuzzy feeling quickly slips into the recesses of a land of distant memories.

Putting it plainly, THIS SUCKS!

If this is how it’s going to feel, I don’t WANT to find love! It’s not worth risking feeling so lousy over.

Ever feel that way before?

Sure you have.

Well, it’s the same with creating a life of wealth and success.

You have to at some point venture off into the unknown and take some risks.

Unless you have a mentor, someone who’s already arrived at where you want to get to, more likely than not you’re going to take risks that do not lead to what you’d hoped for. And, keep in mind, having a mentor doesn’t guarantee your success right away either. He or she keeps you from going down unnecessary paths and stacks the odds in your favor. They’re meant to be your guide; not your savior.

That said, if you don’t get outside your comfort level and stretch yourself, guess where you will be several years from now?

Right…pretty much where you are today. Actually, that’s an understatement. You see, life is always seeking to move forward or fall backward. And if you’re not pressing forward?

You do the math.

If you commit yourself to providing a better life for your family and the people you love, and you get OFF the safe path to nowhere, you will be pleasantly surprised with the results.

But you have to commit. You have to start “courting” your own future success.

If you want to fall in love, you have to go where attractive people are and engage them.

If you want to want wealth and success, you have to go where wealth and success lives and knock on the door.

Knock as many times as you have to. If you knock and no one answers (ie, you invest time or money into something and it turns into a miserable flop), knock again! And again!

Keep knocking and the doorway to your financial freedom WILL open.

It has to.

When I was in my teens, I cycled the hills of Harriman State Park in New York. One time, I was going downhill at about 35 miles per hour and, as a turn approached, suddenly I realized I wasn’t going to make it.

Boy was that NOT a good feeling!

My subconscious reaction was to ‘hit the breaks’. Imagine slamming on the breaks of a bicycle while going 35 mph!

My bike stopped.

I did not.

I went F-L-Y-I-N-G and did two somersaults once I cleared the handlebars.

I was banged up pretty good. My friend caught up to me and a car pulled over; they both looked worried and asked me if I was alright.

You see, the front wheel of my bike was completely bent in half!!! They were hoping my body was doing better than that wheel!

More than twenty years later, I still have physical scars on my left knee from that day…just like we sometimes get emotional scars when a relationship doesn’t work out…just like we have financial scars when a business opportunity takes our money like an ungrateful whore. Ouch! Did I just say that?

The first time I sat on a bike again and went downhill, I was fearful. I was fearful that I was not safe, that I was leaving myself vulnerable.

Sure, I could have stayed away from bikes the rest of my life. Just like you could play it safe the rest of YOUR life.

But then I wouldn’t be able to ride with my friends and you wouldn’t be able to give your family a better life.

Really: Don’t be Gun Shy, Broke and Going Nowhere FAST…

KNOCK on the door of success. Get back ON the bike as many times as you have to. Let the passion to give your family everything they ever wanted and needed propel you forward through uncertainty and into greater wealth and success. You deserve it and they do too!
